Mo Salah Liverpool news

Liverpool’s Mo Salah is currently refusing to sign a new deal with the club so there is a chance that he could be put up for sale at the end of this season.

Fabrizio Romano had recently claimed that talks between the player and the club have broken down since December because the winger does not want to sign the new contract under the current terms.

This news has caught the attention of many big clubs and as per the latest updates, Spanish giants FC Barcelona are also keeping tabs on this whole situation.

Xavi seems to be a big fan of Mo Salah and since the manager is prioritising the signing of a new forward in the summer, someone like Salah can be a perfect fit.

Will Mo Salah choose a move to Spain or will he remain in England?

Up until now, there were claims that Real Madrid are the frontrunners in signing Salah but as per the latest report by Football Insider, the winger will want to remain in the Premier League.

He still wants to sign a new deal but only under his own terms and if he cannot agree to a new contract then he wishes to remain in England.

If this report is true then Manchester City are automatically in the race to sign the 29-year-old since they are the only other English side who are better than Liverpool at the moment.

At Man City though, Mo Salah won’t be guaranteed starts because Guardiola already has players like Silva and Mahrez. Even the 100 million pound Jack Grealish is struggling to get regular starts so there’s no way Mo Salah will instantly become a darling for the City boss.

If Mo Salah wants to leave in the summer then Real Madrid will definitely make a move for him so things are surely going to be interesting.

Will Liverpool be forced to sell Mo Salah?

Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that the ball is in the player’s court and as of now, Salah has not made any concrete decision.

The manager had recently said: “Mo definitely expects this club to be ambitious. We have been and we are. It’s Mo’s decision. The club did what it can do. It’s all fine

“Nothing further has happened, Mo hasn’t signed or rejected or whatever, we just wait.”

It’s clear that Liverpool are still not giving up hope but with new clubs constantly being linked with the winger, we don’t think his representatives are going to give in any time soon.
