Tammy Abraham had a dream run with AS Roma last season and according to Anton Ferdinand, West Ham United should be trying to sign him during this transfer window.
David Moyes is fully focused on bringing Armando Broja on board but if they fail to land the Chelsea forward then Tammy Abraham could be a very good backup plan.
Ferdinand said on talkSPORT: “If they can’t get him (Broja), I would like to go and get Tammy Abraham.
“I think we are at the level where we can go and get him. I would like to see that. We should have got him before he went to Roma, I think.”

Will West Ham United be able to sign Broja or Tammy Abraham?
Broja had a great loan season with Southampton but as per the latest reports, Thomas Tuchel is not eager to let him leave on another loan deal.
Even if Chelsea are willing to send him out then also the Hammers will find it really hard to sign him because several major Premier League clubs are also interested in signing the youngster.
While Tammy Abraham is the ideal backup plan, we don’t think he will be ready to ditch Roma and return to England this summer.
When his career was on a downside, it was Jose Mourinho who showed faith in him and signed him for Roma so there’s no way he is going to ditch him and join West Ham United.
Also, the Serie A had paid Roma paid £34 million for him just one year ago so they can very easily quote an absurd transfer fee which will automatically put the Hammers out of the race.
West Ham would have had at least a glimmer of hope if they were playing in the Europa League next season but without tier one or tier two European football, it’s almost impossible for them to sign Tammy Abraham.
David Moyes will be much better off focusing on someone like Armando Broja because right now, he’s nowhere close to being the main frontman for Chelsea.
