After spending most of his professional career with Arsenal, Jack Wilshere finally moved out of the Emirates this summer to join West Ham United.

Wilshere was eager to stay at Arsenal and was even willing to take a pay cut but Unai Emery could not promise him a starting role as a result of which he chose to join the Hammers.

And now looking back at his Arsenal career, Jack Wilshere has chosen to spoke about Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang who arrived at the club last year.

The English midfielder has revealed why Aubameyang will be a nightmare to all the Premier League defenders.

“He came in January last year, and I played with him for the second half of the season,” Jack Wilshere said.

“He makes runs, and he gets frustrated when midfielders don’t find him.

“But he does it consistently throughout the game, he will make three or four runs a half that are crying out for a ball to be put in behind.

“Defences in the Premier League will hate that. As a centre-back, the last thing you want is a quick player who runs behind, and he does that.”

And true to Jack Wilshere’s words, Aubameyang has shown this season as to why he was such a success at Borussia Dortmund.

The forward is someone who likes to play on the shoulder of the last defender and can make great runs off the ball. And this season with the arrivals of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi, Aubameyang seems to have found his goalscoring boots.

The Gabon international is currently the joint top scorer in the Premier League alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Mo Salah with 14 goals.
