Mesut Ozil will leave Arsenal – either this month or during the summer.

But Unai Emery is desperately trying to offload the German in January itself so that he can use that money to sign new players.

The Arsenal boss has made it clear that the club do not have any money to make permanent signings this month and multiple reports are claiming that the club want to use the money from the Mesut Ozil sale to bring in new players.

On top of that, Mesut Ozil currently receives £350,000-a-week at the club and selling him off would also free up a lot of finances.

Earlier this week reports had suggested Unai Emery had offered the playmaker’s services to Juventus and Inter Milan and the Gunners were still waiting for their official response.

And during this period, El Gol Digital are claiming that Atletico Madrid have made an offer to sign Mesut Ozil.

As per the report, Atletico have made an offer of £18 million to snap up the playmaker this month.

While Arsenal are said to be in consideration of the offer but we do not feel the deal will go through simply because the amount offered is way below Arsenal’s expectations.

Even though Ozil is not part of Unai Emery’s plans this season but the German still remains a world class player and accepting £18 million for his services will be very low.

But on the other hand, Arsenal also need that money to make some key signings this month.

Players like Denis Saurez are available on a permanent basis but Arsenal cannot sign them just because they do not have the finances to make the deal go through.
