West Ham United summer signing Andriy Yarmolenko’s injury does not look good as the winger could be out for a long time – as per reports.

The Hammers were slowly recovering from their poor start to the new season but their progress was halted when Tottenham Hotspur beat then 1-0 in the London Derby this weekend.

While the loss would have been a serious blow for Manuel Pellegrini but Andriy Yarmolenko’s injury might just turn out to be a bigger headache for the manager.




Yarmolenko joined West Ham during the summer on a four-year contract for a £22 million transfer fee and the 28-year-old has slowly been turning himself into one of the main players in the first XI.

But the player went down clutching his ankle during the defeat against Spurs following which he had to be taken off the pitch.




Initially, the injury did not look serious and reports claimed that Yarmolenko’s injury was just a minor sprain.

Now though the Mirror are claiming that Andriy Yarmolenko’s injury is pretty bad and the winger will undergo an operation this week.




While the club is yet to release an official statement on Andriy Yarmolenko’s injury but the report claims he will be out for atleast six months.




Andy Carroll is on his way to full fitness and the forward is expected to be back within a fortnight.
