Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma is looking to secure a move out of the club during the summer transfer window with traditional big-six teams like Liverpool and Arsenal interested in signing him.

According to a report earlier this month, the player is well aware of the interest being shown in him which is why he has asked the club to let him leave after the 2020-21 season gets over.

Arsenal and Liverpool have been tracking Yves Bissouma for a couple of months now and they were about to make a move for him in the coming months. The Gunners were said to be leading the race to sign the 24-year-old but it seems like they have now changed their minds.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal might be linked with Yves Bissouma but the North London side are not interested in signing him.

“He’s been linked to Arsenal, yes. But I’m told he is not the hottest name for Arsenal. They are looking for something else,” Romano told United Stand.

This is a massive boost for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp who has been actively searching for a long-term replacement to Gini Wijnaldum and now with Arsenal out of the transfer race, it should be pretty easy for the Anfield outfit to get their hands on him.

The Mali international has been stellar in central midfield for Brighton this season, featuring in 36 Premier League matches and he will be the ideal replacement for the outgoing Wijnaldum.

As far as Arsenal are concerned, many think the North London side have chosen to withdraw their interest for two major reasons.

The first one being the fact that they cannot afford to sign someone like Yves Bissouma since he still has two years left on his current deal which is why Brighton are expected to ask for a hefty transfer fee. And to make matters worse, Arsenal have finished eighth on the league table.

Secondly, some pundits think the Gunners have decided that Rennes man Eduardo Camavinga is going to be a much better fit in their midfield which is why they are going to make a move for the 18-year-old in the coming months.
