It was not long ago that the duo of Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge were tipped to be the next best duo in the English Premier League. But in less than a month, Liverpool have sold off Coutinho to Barcelona and now Sturridge too looks all set to move out.

Daniel Sturridge has been chased by the likes of Inter Milan and Newcastle United during the January transfer window as both these clubs want the English International on loan. Now though it seems that West Brom have beaten everyone to the race.

According to Sky Sports, Daniel Sturridge is set to join West Bromwich Albion on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Newcastle United seemed to be the favourites for the longest time to land the Liverpool striker but the report claims that Sturridge has chosen to join West Brom due to family reasons.

Liverpool were willing to keep the player at Anfield until the end of the season given that they are still involved in the Champions League but with the World Cup coming up in the summer, a lack of game time would mean that Gareth Southgate will not name the striker in his squad.
