Lionel Messi finally broke his duck against Chelsea last night at Stamford Bridge after he scored the only goal for Barcelona on the night thus earning a crucial away goal to take back to the Camp Nou.

And believe it or not, this was the Argentine’s first goal against Chelsea in nine games. The goal was a simple tap in which was set up by the genius and vision of Andres Iniesta. And ever since Messi scored the goal, Barcelona fans have breathed a sigh of relief.

Messi put the ball into the back of the net for the first time in 745 minutes that he has played against the Stamford Bridge outfit.

But interestingly enough there is another superstar who has an even worse record when playing against Chelsea.

Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has also scored just a single goal against Chelsea but has managed to do it in 15 appearances. The former Manchester United player has played 1218 minutes against the Blues and has come up with that one solitary goal and two assists.

Ronaldo’s only goal against Chelsea came when in the 2008 Champions League final when the Portuguese was playing for Manchester United.
