Eden Hazard has been tipped to move out of Stamford Bridge during the summer and join La Liga giants Real Madrid but former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol feels that the Belgian might just stay back.

For the past couple of matches, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been playing Hazard as a false nine which has clearly affected the playmaker’s impact on the game.

The Belgian International too vented out his anger claiming that it is frustrating to play in a position where he does not see too much of the ball.

But Nicol feels that Hazard can stay back at Chelsea if Antonio Conte is sacked at the end of the season.

Nicol said: “He won’t (leave), partly because of that (uncertainty at Chelsea),

“It looks pretty certain that Conte will be leaving so I don’t think Chelsea are going to let anybody go, certainly not until they get a new head coach.

“And even then, why are you getting rid of arguably your best player, your most influential player?

“I don’t see this happening. If Hazard does leave, I think it will be at the end of his two years he’s got left.

“So I don’t see this happening at all, I think this is a miss.”

According to various reports, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has made Eden Hazard his top transfer priority for the summer and Los Blancos chief Florentino Perez has also given the green signal for the deal.
