Mauricio Pochettino talks about keeping a positive mindset during the game against Manchester City.

Spurs are scheduled to face league leaders Manchester City on Saturday at the Etihad and speaking after the Brighton match Mauricio Pochettino has sort of revealed his plans for the big day.

“Look. I am so positive, I am a positive person. I am so happy because we won and the three points are so important for us. What is going to happen Saturday? Who knows,

“I am positive, we go to Manchester trying to win, thinking we can win and then football is football and anything can happen. But I am so happy and so pleased with the performance and the effort in the last few weeks. Three victories in a row, one in the Champions League, two in the Premier League.

“I think so important for us, again, to feel we can stay higher in the table in our position, it is still so long the season and everything can happen but we are in a good form today.”

And all this positivity talk is not just a flash in the pan from the Argentine as Spurs definitely have the firepower to back their manager’s claim. The return of Eric Lamela to the first team squad has been a huge boost for the Lilywhites and they have managed to score 10 goals in their past three matches across all competitions.

Pochettino also boasts a great record against City as his last defeat against the Manchester-based outfit came way back in 2015. Spurs have won the last two out of three meetings between the two clubs and drawn one.

So if anyone can beat Manchester City then it is Mauricio Pochettino.

But we also said the same thing about Mourinho, didn’t we?
