Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez wants to add atleast two strikers to his current squad during the January transfer window and one of them could be Liverpool‘s Danny Ings.

Ings has successfully recovered from two serious knee injuries and has played 8 times for the Liverpool’s U-23 side in the current season. But his involvement for the first time is far from guaranteed and Rafa Benitez wants to tap into this prospect. Ings still has two years left on his current contract with Liverpool and hence securing a permanent move will be next to impossible in January.

So according to the report, the former Liverpool manager will look to bring him to Newcastle on a loan deal for the rest of the season – with probably an option to buy him permanently at the end of the campaign.

Benitez will also be hoping to offload Aleksandar Mitrovic from his ranks as the player has featured on two times during the new season.
