Chelsea are on the verge of announcing their new manager which everyone hopes will be former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri.
The announcement is expected to be made sometime this week but it seems that Chelsea’s delay in bringing Sarri on board has been a blessing in disguise for Manchester City.
According to reports, Manchester City have moved one step closer to signing Napoli midfielder Jorginho.
Napoli had earlier rejected a bid from the Premier League champions and Jorginho’s agent had gone onto claim that the personal talks with the player will only move forward once City agree on a transfer fee with Napoli.
But now Italian outlet Calciomercato are claiming that City have agreed on personal terms with the player.
And could only mean that both the clubs have agreed on some kind of transfer fee for Jorginho.
Chelsea too have been interested in Jorginho for a fairly long time now but it seems their overtly long negotiations with Maurizio Sarri have cost them a signing.
