Manchester United travel to London next week in order to take on Chelsea in the Premier League and Anthony Martial could very well be deployed in a new role.
The Frenchman has been used as the frontman by Solskjaer this season after the departure of Lukaku but Anthony Martial has clearly struggled to get things going.
So far, the forward has managed to net only 8 goals in the league and it’s finally time for Ole to make some tough decisions.
Clearly Anthony Martial playing at the top isn’t working for Manchester United and with Odion Ighalo now at the club, the manager might very well opt to use the Nigerian international upfront.
Normally this would mean that Martial would drop to the bench but that necessarily might not be the case since Marcus Rashford is currently out injured.
With Rashford out, the left flank remains vacant meaning Martial could very well slot into that position against Chelsea next week.
The Frenchman has played most of his best football down that flank and with Ighalo ready to play up front, Anthony Martial could finally be relieved off some pressure.
Daniel James has looked lacklustre during the past couple of months so now the Man United manager will have to decide whether to use the Welshman on the right flank or to drop him to the bench and let Mason Greenwood play on that side of the pitch.
Anthony Martial has really not been able to handle the pressure of being the main goalscorer for Manchester United this season and a chance of position might be the push he needs in order to help to get back his form.
