Rangers vs Leipzig
Ibrox Stadium Rangers

Rangers FC kick off their Scottish Premiership season on Sunday when they travel to the Pittodrie Stadium in order to take on last year’s runners-up Aberdeen.

Steven Gerrard has made as many as ten new signings ever since he was appointed as the new manager earlier on during the summer and we feel that a number of these new players will feature during the Light Blues’ season opener.

Aberdeen vs Rangers team news:

Rangers drew their midweek game against NK Osijek in the Europa League qualifiers and there is a huge possibility that Steven Gerrard would want to play as many players as possible from that game.

Rangers FC have three major injury absentees in the form of Declan John (back), Lee Wallace (groin), Jordan Rossiter (ankle) and Graham Dorrans (knee).

Foderingham is set to play in front of goal while the back line is expected to remain the same from the midweek game. Jon Flanagan will play at left-back while James Tavernier will play at right-back. The central defensive partnership will be the familiar face of Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic.

New signings Ovie Ejaria, Lassana Coulibaly and Ryan Kent are all expected to make their league debut on Sunday against Aberdeen but Umar Sadiq should start on the bench given the fact that he is yet to reach full fitness.

The absence of Umar Sadiq means that Alfredo Morelos will start as the lone striker.

Aberdeen vs Rangers predicted line-up:

Goalkeeper: Foderingham.

Defence: Flanagan, Katic, Goldson, Tavernier.

Midfield: Jack, Coulibaly, Kent, Ejaria, Candeias.

Attack: Morelos.
