Chelsea dropped points once again in the Premier League this time losing 2-0 to Everton at Goodison Park.

And after this defeat, Maurizio Sarri must be one worried man.

The Italian has been under tremendous pressure during the past couple of months but a series of good results made sure that Maurizio Sarri hung onto his job.

But after the loss to the Toffees, it looks like the former Napoli boss could very well be on his way out of the club.

Speaking after the match, Maurizio Sarri claimed that he was clueless as to why his players performed so badly.

“I don’t know and the players don’t know what happened in the second half,” he said.

“I cannot explain it. We played the best first half in the season and we could have scored four or five and then suddenly we stopped playing.

“It’s very strange and we stopped to defend and counter-attack.

“We were in control of the match and we played very well so we needed to continue but we didn’t defend at the start of the second half. We changed the system but it was the same.

“The problem was mental on the pitch, so the system and the tactics are not important.

“It wasn’t about motivation because we started very well. We have to play eight matches now and we have to fight for our possibilities.”

And now reports are claiming that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is planning to sack Maurizio Sarri during the international break.

At the start of the new year, the Italian boss was on the verge of moving out of Chelsea but reports had claimed that Abramovich did not want to make a hasty decision since he believed in Sarri’s ways.

But now it seems that the water level has risen above the danger point and the Russian owner has made up his mind.

In the past, Maurizio Sarri has claimed that he is not too worried about his job but if he is reading all these reports then it is time for the former Napoli boss to start fretting.
