Arsenal manager Unai Emery is expected to bring in a couple of new players during the summer transfer window.

And it looks like the Spanish boss has already set the ball rolling.

During the past few weeks, a number of players have been linked with a move to Arsenal at the end of the season but this is for the first time that anything concrete has come into the picture.

As per reports, Unai Emery was present during the Valencia vs Getafe match to take a look at Getafe defender Djene Dakonam.

Djene Dakonam joined in 2017 and this season the centre-back has really flourished having made 29 appearances for Getafe.

The report suggests Unai Emery made enquiries about the availability of the defender and it looks like the Arsenal boss is interested in making a move for Djene Dakonam at the end of the season.

Dakonam is under contract at Getafe until 2023 and it looks like the Spanish club are demanding somewhere around 30 million pounds of the defender.

Unai Emery will reportedly get around 50 million pounds to spend during the summer and one of his top priorities is to bring in strengthen the defensive line for the upcoming season.

It is still unclear whether any other club is interested in Djene Dakonam or not but given the great season that he has had, Arsenal surely cannot be the only club who will make a move for Getafe man during the summer transfer window.
