Arsenal brought in Mohamed Elneny from FC Basel in 2016 but the player has failed to carve out a niche for himself during his time at the club.

Last season, the midfielder featured in only 8 Premier League games across the whole season which was indication enough that he does not feature in the plans of Unai Emery.

And this is why Elneny was sent out on a loan to Besiktas during the summer transfer window and everyone is certain that he would not be returning back to the Emirates since the loan deal has an option to buy.

But the player has made a really slow start to his life at Besiktas having picked up a red card during his debut for the club and if rumours are to be believed then Elneny is looking to change his options during the January transfer window.

And one of the clubs who are interested in bringing him onboard are Serie A giants AC Milan.

Milan have made a really poor start to the 2019-20 season and are currently 13th on the league table. So it is more or less certain that the management would be looking to bring in reinforcements at the start of next year.

As per the reports, the Italian side are seriously considering a move for Elneny and there have also been initials talks between the two parties.

It is still unclear as to what Arsenal think about the move but as per the news, Milan are willing to pay somewhere around 15 million euros for Elneny which is a very decent amount for a player who is unwanted at the Emirates.

Besiktas would also want to sign Elneny on a permanent move but we don’t think the Turkish club would be able to match the financial power of Milan so the Gunners would obviously favour the Serie A outfit.

Also, Elneny would choose to play in Italy over the Turkish Super Lig any day.
