Arsenal have joined the race to sign winger Adama Traore from Wolverhampton Wanderers during the upcoming transfer window – as per reports.

Adama Traore joined Wolves in 2018 and this season the player has totally transformed himself under Nuno Espirito Santo.

The winger has managed to provide 10 assists and score six goals in 43 matches so far and many pundits think the 24-year-old is currently one of the best right-sided wingers in the whole of Europe.

So naturally, with so many accolades coming his way, there ought to be an interest in the player and it Arsenal look like the latest club to show an inclination towards signing him.

Wolves would love to hold onto him beyond the summer but recently his agent has hinted at a possible exit at the end of the season – if everything falls into place.

He told EFE“I can’t talk about contractual situations because it’s a private matter, but Adama was having a good season, and with his age, conditions and the fact he’s a very appealing player, there would have been a market for him, no doubt about it.

“We have to hope for the situation to normalise itself and hope that it won’t affect him this summer”.

Can Arsenal sign Adama Traore?

Adama Traore is without a doubt a top top player in the Premier League but there are a number of reasons why we think the Gunners will not be able to land this season.

The biggest amongst this is obviously the interest from fellow PL club Liverpool who are said to be keenly watching the player’s progress.

Jurgen Klopp is set to lose Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer and the German manager may be looking at Traore as the possible replacement to the Swiss international for the upcoming season.

The other big reason is that Arsenal already have Nicolas Pepe who plays down the right-wing and the North London club paid a lot of money to sign him from Lille last summer. So naturally, Arteta will try and give him one more season to prove him worth at the Emirates.

And finally, Wolves currently value Adama Traore at around £70 million since the player still has three years left on his current deal which automatically means Arsenal could be priced out of this transfer race.
