Arsenal are likely to miss out on the signing of midfielder Adrien Rabiot but the 25-year-old is still expected to play in the Premier League next season.

Rabiot joined Juventus last summer on a free transfer from PSG but he has not been able to find his niche at the club under Maurizio Sarri having played in only 17 league matches this season and most of these have come off the bench.

Sarri seems to have made up his mind to send Rabiot out of the club in the summer and the Gunners are one of the clubs who are interested in signing him for the 2020-21 season.

But now it looks like the North London club are not going to get their hands on the 25-year-old as the Old Lady have other plans for the midfielder.

Where is Adrien Rabiot headed to?

As per Calciomercato, Adrien Rabiot is about to be used in a swap deal to bring Paul Pogba back to Turin during the summer.

The report claims: “The Paul Pogba operation is increasingly complicated but Juventus wants to try.

“Now the complications arise from having to talk about exchanges, in particular, there is Adrien Rabiot among the players that Juve proposed to United as an exchange pawn, evaluating it over 30 million as potential in the operation.”

Man United are not the only club who are being linked with a swap deal since Juventus are also willing to send Adrien Rabiot to Chelsea if Frank Lampard is ready to send Jorginho back to Italy.

So it’s pretty evident that Adrien Rabiot has no future at Juventus and there’s a massive chance the player will be playing in England next season.

But as things look Arsenal are pretty low down the pecking order in terms of this transfer deal and if both Manchester United and Chelsea reject Juventus’ offer, only then will the Gunners have a chance of signing the 25-year-old.
