Manchester United and Everton now have an earnest chance of signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot at the end of the season, according to TEAMtalk.

Adrien Rabiot has clearly not been able to find a place in Sarri’s first XI in Turin this season and the Old Lady are already making plans to send him off during the summer.

And while initially, the likes of Man United & Everton were said to be frontrunners in signing the midfielder but then Juventus changed their plans as they wanted to use Rabiot in a swap deal to sign Raul Jimenez from Wolves.

The report claims: “With Gonzalo Higuain likely to leave this summer, the Italian champions are in the market for a centre-forward, and according to Todofichajes, Jimenez has been identified as the best value-for-money option.

“It is claimed that they could seek to reduce the price they pay even further by inserting midfielder Adrien Rabiot into the deal as a counterpart. The Old Lady would then pay Wolves just €30m to acquire Jimenez.”

This news was a massive blow for both Manchester United and Everton as these two Premier League clubs had been chasing Adrien Rabiot for months and some rumours had even claimed that Carlo Ancelotti was pretty close to landing a deal.

Adrien Rabiot is once again back in the market?

Now though as per the latest updates, the pursuit for the 25-year-old seems to be back on track as Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo is under no pressure to offload Raul Jimenez during the summer.

TEAMtalk are reporting: “According to the Daily Mirror, however, Wolves owners Fosun have informed Portuguese coach Nuno that he does not have to cash in on the club’s success over the past two seasons.

“Instead, the manager will be allowed to keep Jimenez and Traore – as well as other top talent such as Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho – as Wolves press to finish the season in the top four.”

Now that Jimenez is not up for sale, Adrien Rabiot should once again be back in the transfer market meaning the transfer is still a possibility for Everton and Manchester United.

While Man United do have the power and face value to lure in the midfielder but some experts believe Adrien Rabiot is eager to play under Carlo Ancelotti which is why the Toffees have an upper hand in this deal.
