Arsenal had been linked with midfielder Adrien Rabiot back in 2019 and it seems like the player could be back in the transfer market – as per reports.

Last year, the Gunners were really looking to sign the 25-year-old since Unai Emery was a big fan of him but the French international ended up moving to Juventus on a free transfer.

But this ongoing season, he has clearly failed to impress in Turin having played in just 24 games across all competitions for Sarri’s men.

And it seems Juventus have finally made up their mind on the player with Calciomercato reporting their manager has no plans on using Adrien Rabiot regularly in his first XI next season.

The report also claims the player will not be put up for sale in the summer since he has three years still left on his current deal but Sarri will still be looking to bring in reinforcements.

And according to some pundits, this could finally open up the door for Arsenal to sign Adrien Rabiot by launching a formal bid for him.

Why Adrien Rabiot will not be moving to Arsenal anytime soon:

Without a doubt, Rabiot will be a perfect fit in Mikel Arteta’s midfield since the manager is desperately looking for an authoritative midfielder.

But it seems like the player is out of reach for the Gunners since right now he receives around £216k-a-week in Turin which is a massive fee for a club to pay which has just asked their players to take a 12.5% pay cut for one whole year.

Also, apart from the wages, last summer Adrien Rabiot was available on a free transfer which made him a really lucrative target.

But this time around, Arsenal will have to shell out money if they wish to bring him to the Emirates. And for a club which will be working on a really tight budget in the summer, we do not think, making a move for Adrien Rabiot will be a really sensible bit fo business from Mikel Arteta.
