Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has built up a formidable partnership with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang this season and finally it looks like the North London club have found a perfect duo to deal the line.

But recent reports have suggested that Lacazette might very well move out of the Emirates this summer given that Barcelona are planning to make a move for him.

Barcelona have plans to sign a long-term replacement for the ageing Luis Suarez and the Catalan management believe that the Frenchman will be a perfect fit up front.

Alexandre Lacazette joined the Gunners from Lyon in the summer of 2017 and this season the Frenchman has been in top form for the North London club.

So far during the 2018-19 season, Alexandre Lacazette has played in 48 games scoring 19 goals and making 13 assists.

And recently the 27-year-old was voted the player of the year at Arsenal and it seems like his fine performances have convinced Barcelona that he is the ideal replacement for Luis Suarez.

The Gunners would not agree to sell Alexandre Lacazette but given that Unai Emery will have only around 50 odd million pounds to spend this summer, some rumours had been claiming that the manager might very well be tempted to let go of the forward if the La Liga giants are willing to pay the right price.

But Arsenal’s recent move have made things pretty clear where they stand.

Reports are claiming that the Gunners are planning to offer Alexandre Lacazette a new deal at the club.

His contract at the club expires in 2022 but the North London club have come to the conclusion that Barcelona are very much serious about signing Lacazette.

And hence Arsenal are not ready to take any chances and are willing to offer him a new deal.

While the report does not reveal the length of the deal but Alexandre Lacazette isn’t the only one who is being rewarded with a new contract.

The report claims that the Gunners are also ready to offer Auabmeyang with a new deal as soon as they wrap up talks with the Frenchman.
