Manchester United will be looking to make it seven wins out of seven when they take on Brighton this weekend.

The Red Devils are yet to lose a game ever since Solskjaer took charge of the club and going by the recent form of the team, the Brighton game should be an easy three points for them.

And speaking before the match, the caretaker boss has provided an update on the injury-hit players.

The biggest doubt is obviously Alexis Sanchez who picked up an injury during the Reading game and had to be ruled out from the 1-0 win vs Spurs.

“Alexis has trained all week, so hopefully he comes through the session today and will be available,” Solskjaer said.

“He is a player who loves to play football, it doesn’t matter who you are, you want to play football.

“And he’s been hindered by injury. I know all about injuries and how frustrating that can be and how eager you are to get back.

”Maybe in the Reading game he should have told me at half-time, ‘I need to come off now’, because you know the 15-20 minutes he played in the second half, maybe that was too much for him. So that gave him a setback.”

But apart from Alexis Sanchez, it is not good news as far as the other players are concerned.

The manager has confirmed that both Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo will not be fit for the game since they have just begun light training this week.

Marouane Fellaini is also out with a long term injury.

“Chris and Marcos just started running lightly so they’re not fit yet. Felli is the long-term one who is out. He’ll be out for a few weeks,” Solskjaer added.

“That’s sad because there are ‘X factors’ in different players and we all know Felli’s ‘X factor’, but then again he’ll be working hard to get back for when all the big games are coming as well.“

A win for Manchester United would mean that they will move over Arsenal momentarily and with the Gunners taking on Chelsea on the very same day, there is a huge possibility that Alexis Sanchez and co finish the week above the Gunners in the Premier League table.
