Ibrox Rangers

Rangers FC forward Alfredo Morelos could be on his way out of Scotland this summer as clubs like Leicester City and Newcastle United are being constantly linked with him.

The Colombian was tipped to move out of Ibrox last summer but the Gers managed to hold onto him for one more season. But everyone’s certain that Gerrard will not be so lucky this time around.

Even the Gers boss is well aware of all the interest in Morelos which is why he’s already out in the market looking for like-to-like replacements for the 23-year-old.

And here are three players who are on Rangers’ radar for the upcoming transfer window:

1. Lyndon Dykes – Livingston:

The 24-year-old currently plays for Livingston and still has two years left on his current deal at the club.

This season, Dykes has scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 25 Premiership matches for Livingston but the Gers will have some serious trouble in signing him since Old Firm rivals Celtic FC are also keeping tabs on the Australian-born centre-forward.

2. Rhian Brewster – Liverpool FC:

Rhian Brewster is another man being eyed by Gerrard but this move will only be a loan deal since Liverpool are not ready to sell him permanently this summer.

Right now, the 20-year-old is out on loan to Championship side Swansea City and there are rumours that Brewster could remain at Wales for the 2020-21 season as well.

Rhian Brewster is one of the most talented youngsters to have come out of the Liverpool academy in recent times and he will be a fine replacement for Alfredo Morelos next season.

3. Ivan Toney – Peterborough:

Ivan Toney currently plays for League One side Peterborough and this campaign he has been in fine form, scoring 24 goals in just 32 league matches for the Posh.

Like Dykes, Celtic FC are also keen to sign Toney but the English side are reportedly demanding around £15 million for the sale of the 24-year-old. And this steep amount could be a real problem for both the Old Firm clubs.

Gerrard will be able to gather a lot of money by the sale of Alfredo Morelos but the manager will not be too keen to spend all of it in signing just a single player.
