Each Liverpool player played to their utmost potential last season helping the Reds lift the Champions League trophy. But a busy summer means that a number of them would be prone to injuries.

And it looks like everyone’s worst fears have just been realised.

Left-back Andrew Robertson has picked up an injury during his international duty for Scotland.

Andrew Robertson scored during Scotland’s 2-1 win vs Crypus and was expected to start vs Belgium earlier this week.

“It’s disappointing to lose someone of Andy’s experience – certainly for a game like this,” Scotland manager Steve Clarke told Sky Sports.

But shockingly, the left-back was absent for the game as Scotland went down 3-0 and now reports are claiming that the Liverpool full-back is set to be sidelined for a couple of months.

As per reports, the national team doctors have diagnosed the player with hamstring damage which means that the player could be absent for the start of the Premier League season.

If this happens then surely it will be a huge blow for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp for the upcoming season.

Xherdan Shaqiri too limped off with an injury after Switzerland’s Nations League third-place playoff against England and some rumours have claimed that the forward too will be out for a couple of months.

UPDATE:

Andrew Robertson has eased a lot of tensions surrounding his injury by posting an update on social media.

The Liverpool left-back posted a photo of himself on Instagram along with an update on his injury.

“Frustrating to miss last nights game and to end an incredible season on a small low!” Robertson posted.

“Now it’s time to switch off, recover and get ready to do it all over again with club and country!”
