Liverpool spent a lot of cash during the summer transfer window, a move which was heavily criticized by many pundits at that point in time.

But the way Liverpool have been performing this season there should be absolutely no complains,

Still, there is a section of rival fans who believe, Jurgen Klopp has gone the Manchester City way and are trying to ‘buy’ the Premier League title.

But if we were to jump to the defence of the Liverpool manager then we would say that the club have made a number of bargain deals which no one really notices.

And on top of that list is the signing of Andrew Robertson from Hull City.

Liverpool paid only £8 million for Andrew Robertson in the summer of 2017 and the left-back has turned himself into one of the key figures in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

Andrew Robertson is easily amongst the top three left-backs in the Premier League and the player has so far played in 15 out of the 17 matches that Liverpool have played in the league.

So naturally, there were talks about Liverpool handing a new deal to the player.

Some reports claimed that Liverpool are very much aware of the interest on Andrew Robertson and they want to bind him down to a new deal as soon as possible.

But according to a report, Liverpool have no plans to provide the left-back with a new contract anytime soon.

Andrew Robertson’s current contract with the club runs out in 2021 hence the Merseyside outfit are not giving priority to his future plans right now.

Apart from Andrew Robertson, there was also Sadio Mane who was thought to be in talks about a new deal and the report claims that the forward has agreed on a new contract but he is yet to put pen on paper.
