Manchester United have named Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their caretaker manager until the end of the season.

And the United fans are buzzing at the appointment of their former darling.

Solskjaer is also the manager of Norwegian club Molde who have kind of leased out their manager to Manchester United until the end of the Premier League season – given the Norwegian league has already come to an end.

Obviously, the appointment of the Baby Faced Assasin is temporary until the club find a new long-term manager.

But what happens if Ole Solksjaer becomes highly successful at his job and manages to turn around Man United’s fortunes come May of 2019.

Well, reports suggest that the management at Old Trafford have kept this situation in mind and they will pay £7.2 million in compensation to Molde in case they do decide to keep Solskjaer on a long-term basis.

Ole knows very well that he has to act as a makeshift barrier for the club until the end of the season but the former Man United striker is more than happy to do the job.

“When you get a job like this and they ask you to sign for six months, you say ‘yeah, I’m happy to help out’,” Solskjaer said.

“Of course, my job now is just for the next six months to do as well and move the club forward as well as I can.

“I understand there are so many managers who would love to be manager of Manchester United, so of course I’m one of them, but it’s not something that we’ve talked about.

“They’re going to do a process now for the next six months.”

Molde have made it clear that they are very happy that their manager is currently in charge of such a big club but how will they feel if Man United show interest in keeping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer beyond the summer.
