Arsenal picked up a 3-1 win over Burnley this past weekend but it seems this win has come at a cost – yet again.

Unai Emery already has a series of injured players and now it seems one more has been added to that list.

Nacho Monreal was taken off during the win over Burnley on Saturday and now reports are suggesting that the left-back could be out for a couple of weeks.

Monreal seems to have picked up a muscle injury and will most certainly be unavailable for the Boxing Day fixture against Brighton.

And there are already some whispers that he could also be out until the game against Liverpool next weekend.

Nacho Monreal joins a long list of injured defenders and if the left-back is unable to make himself fit before the Liverpool game then Unai Emery could be up for a bit of trouble.

Shkodran Mustafi is out with a hamstring injury and in case he fails to make himself fit by next Friday then Unai Emery will have to play Sokratis and Laurent Koscielny in central defence vs Liverpool.

And the Spaniard will be desperately trying to avoid this since Koscielny is yet to return to the top of his game after a long-standing injury.

Nacho Monreal though should not be missed even if he is not fit since Unai Emery has the option of Sead Kolasinac as a like-for-like choice at left-back.

But if Nacho Monreal is deemed fit to play then there is a high probability that we will see him in central defence vs Liverpool.
