Arsenal beat Newcastle United on Monday with Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette scoring one goal each.

The Welshman opened the scoring on the half-hour mark but was forced off the pitch with what looked to be a groin injury.

With 20 minutes left on the clock, Aaron Ramsey was replaced my Mohamed Elney and after the game, Unai Emery failed to provide a clear update on the midfielder’s injury.

“We are in a good moment but each match is a new test,” Emery told BBC Match of the Day (as per the Metro).

“I hope Aaron Ramsey’s injury is not serious. The doctor is thinking it’s a small injury.

“We are improving. Today we can finish third, but the next match against Everton is difficult. Our rivals are going to win a lot of matches.”

Some reports claimed that Aaron Ramsey could be sidelined for some time which could be a huge problem since the Gunners are scheduled to face the likes of Everton and Napoli in the coming few games.

Now though, Sky Sports are claiming there is nothing to worry about.

As per the report, the groin injury sustained by Aaron Ramsey is not a big one and the Juventus bound midfielder should be fit to play vs Everton next Sunday.

Aaron Ramsey will be moving out of Arsenal at the end of the season and joining Juventus in the Serie A but the Welsh international still remains one of the most important players for Unai Emery.

Alongside Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka is also expected to be fit and available for selection on Sunday.
