Liverpool picked up a win vs relegation troubled Fulham and with that, the Reds have moved to the top of the Premier League table.

Jurgen Klopp looked all set to pick up all three points when Sadio Mane gave them the lead right before the half-hour mark.

But Ryan Babel almost spoiled the party after equalising in the 74th minute.

Then it was James Milner penalty which saved the day for Liverpool and the Anfield outfit picked up a very important win at Craven Cottage.

And speaking after the game, Fulham boss lauded the performance from Liverpool and claimed that the Jurgen Klopp led side is currently the best counter-attacking side in Europe.

“There were big positives. We played against the best counter-attacking team in Europe, a front three which are pretty deadly,” Parker said(via Football London).

“We need to stay in the game and we did that first half and there was some massive positives in the second half where the players took the front foot and we got back into the game but it’s a shame we couldn’t hold on.

“Now reflecting on it we’re really disappointed in the result.”

Liverpool have been emphatic this season as their manager has successfully plugged all the holes that stopped the Reds from winning the Champions League last season.

But while Liverpool have been making progress in leaps and bounds, Manchester City, on the other hand, seem to be always one step ahead of the Anfield outfit.

Right now, Liverpool sit pretty on the top of the table – two points clear of Manchester City but the Citizens have a game in hand and their next encounter will be against Fulham after the international break.
