Arsenal manager Unai Emery is expected to bring in a number of new players during the summer transfer window but he will have to do it at the expense of his current lot.
As per reports, Unai Emery will get only 45 million to spend during the summer if the club fail to secure a Champions League berth.
So in order to bring in his desired signings, the manager will have to sell off a number of his players.
The first big name which is expected to be sold at the end of the season is Mesut Ozil.
The German has failed to win the trust of Unai Emery this season and given that he is the highest earning player in the squad, the playmaker will most certainly be sold off.
Arsenal did want to sell him in January itself but that plan was eventually dropped after the club failed to find a buyer. Yes, the player has seen a lot of game time during the past couple of weeks but that is mainly due to the rotation policy of the manager.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan arrived at Arsenal in a swap deal from Man United and the Armenian has done pretty well at the Emirates this season.
But reports suggest that he too is likely to be sold primarily to free up funds for signing new players.
Shkodran Mustafi has come under heavy fire after his poor outing vs Palace and many fans have urged the club to offload him at the end of the season.
And now rumours have it that Unai Emery has already made plans for his team next season and Mustafi is not going to be a part of it.
Both Carl Jenkinson and Mohamed Elneny started in the 3-2 loss vs Crystal Palace but they have been used sparingly this season which is a clear indication that they too will be on their way out at the end of the season.
David Ospina is out on loan to Napoli until the end of the season and given that Bernd Leno has already settled in nicely at the Emirates, reports claim that Unai Emery does not want Ospina back at the club.
