Arsenal are planning to bring in a couple of new players during the summer transfer window and if reports are to be believed then one of them could be Wilfried Zaha.

Wilfried Zaha joined Manchester United with a lot of promise back in 2013 but the winger eventually failed to impress and ended up returning back to Crystal Palace.

But his second stint with Palace has gone phenomenally well and this past season, the 26-year-old had been in top class form.

During the 2018-19 season, Wilfried Zaha played in 34 Premier League games for Palace scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists.

And if reports are to believed then a number of Premier League clubs have shown interest in signing him during the summer and one of them are Arsenal.

Even Wilfried Zaha has claimed that he wishes to play for a top club which has indicated that he might very well be out of Selhurst Park during the summer transfer window.

He told the Daily Mail: “I’m too ambitious. And not ambitious just to play for a top club, but to win things at club level and with the Ivory Coast.

“For me to be better, to achieve what I know I am capable of, I have to aim to play at the very highest level, to win trophies.

“I’m blessed to have come this far in my playing career. But I feel like there is so much more I have to offer.

“I have to experience the Champions League. I just need the opportunity, that’s it. And I’ll do the rest.”

Emery seems to be very much interested in signing Wilfried Zaha but it seems that Palace are making a pretty absurd demand.

The Gunners are said to be preparing for a £40 million bid for the winger but if reports are to believed then Palace’s asking price is nowhere close to that amount.

It is being claimed that Palace want somewhere close to £80 million for Wilfried Zaha especially since so many other clubs are interested in signing him.

This amount could be a huge roadblock for Unai Emery since the manager will only get around £50 million to spend in case the club fail to return back to the Champions League next season.
