Arsenal beat Valencia 3-1 in the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals this Thursday and next up they take on Brighton in the Premier League.

The Gunners are currently fifth on the league table – two points adrift of Chelsea meaning a win this weekend would keep them in the hunt of finishing in the top-four at the end of the season.

Brighton have failed to pick up a win during their past five league games which means on paper Arsenal should be looking for an easy three points.

Arsenal news vs Brighton:

Laurent Koscielny was taken off during the Europa League clash with fatigue but the manager has claimed that the defender should be fit before the Brighton game on Sunday.

After the Valencia game, the manager said: “I hope that he is going to be OK for Sunday and the second leg away, but I don’t know.

“He ran back with the transitions – 50 metres for a sprint – it’s normal that he can be tired or struggling.”

This means the defensive line of Mustafi, Sokratis and Koscielny will play their second game four days.

Aaron Ramsey is out for the rest of the season meaning his Arsenal career has come to an end.

Granit Xhaka will most certainly retain his place in midfield but Guendouzi might move back to the bench in order to make way for Lucas Torreira.

Unai Emery had claimed that he will be rotating his sqaud which means that Jenkinson might get to start at right wing-back in place of Maitland Niles who played vs Valencia in midweek.

Mesut Ozil also started in midweek but the German might just be rested vs Brighton as Henrikh Mkhitaryan comes into the starting line up.
