Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Olympiacos centre-back Ousseynou Ba during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Gunners have really struggled in defence during the ongoing season but the club have managed to secure the signing of William Saliba from France and right now Mikel Arteta is busy looking for the perfect partner to the youngster next season.
And as per Sports Witness, Sengalese international Ousseynou Ba could be that man with the Greek side looking to cash in on him in the summer.
Ousseynou Ba joined Olympiacos from France’s third tier side Ajaccio at the start of 2019 and this campaign the 24-year-old has caught the attention of a number of big English clubs.
Last month, the was scouted by Liverpool after Sadio Mane urged the Anfield outfit to make a move for him in the summer. But we think Jurgen Klopp is not too keen to make a move for the centre-back right at this moment.
Arsenal though are clearly interested in signing Ba after having watched him closely during Arsenal games vs Olympiacos in the Europa League.
Not much is known about the 6’4 man but the various media reports suggest the player is one of those no-nonsense old school defenders.
It’s still unclear if Olympiacos are really interested in selling the player this summer but some rumours claim the Greek side have placed a price tag of €20 million on the defender.

This amount is well within the reach of the Gunners but we have a feeling Mikel Arteta will be a bit reluctant in squandering money on a relatively unexplored defender.
William Saliba will without a doubt be one half of the centre-back pairing for Arsenal next season and instead of spending €20 odd million on Ousseynou Ba, Arteta will be much better off using players like David Luiz and Sokratis.
