Nicolas Pepe to replace Aubameyang Arsenal EPL
Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan Arsenal news

Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is about to enter the final year of his contract at the club and recently there have been reports that the club are ready to send him off.

Up until now, the North London outfit were willing to offer him a new deal but it seems like his wage demands have gotten way beyond their management’s reach which is why they have decided to pull the plug on the negotiations.

As per a report in Football London, the Gunners do not want to offer Aubameyang a new deal primarily since they are bracing themselves for a massive loss due to the current crisis situation. And at such a moment, Arsenal cannot afford to make the Gabon international one of their highest-paid players.

The report claims: Football.london understands Arsenal are planning on an assumption that their fixtures will take place behind closed doors until 2021, that will have a massive impact on the Gunners over any other side in the league – a major loss expected to be in excess of £50million.

“In Arsenal’s current financial circumstances selling Aubameyang at the right price may make sense but the sporting logic for keeping him is indisputable.”

Fair decision from Arsenal?

As things stand Arsenal will also be missing out on Champions League football yet again-meaning there too the club’s bound to suffer massive financial losses.

And if we add this to the expected £50million loss then yes, Arsenal are doing the right thing by trying to cash in on Aubameyang.

They have already let Aaron Ramsey move to Juventus last year on a free transfer and surely they cannot afford to do the same with their most prized possession.

Right now, Auba is one of the best forwards in European football which is why there are clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United who are willing to pay big money in order to sign him during the summer.

So instead of taking a massive gamble by bumping up his wages during a financial crunch, it would be safe to take a massive transfer fee and let him move out at the end of the season.
