Arsenal travel to St James’ Park this weekend in order to take on Newcastle United and Unai Emery will be hoping that his team can pick up three wins on the trot.

The Gunners lost their opening two games against Man City and Liverpool but slowly the Spanish manager has steadied the ship with wins over West Ham United and Newcastle United.

And now if reports are to be believed then the London club has received a huge injury boost before the clash against the Magpies.

Arsenal’s summer signing Lucas Torreira is yet to start a game for the club but the Uruguayan has easily been one of the best midfielders for the club coming off the bench.

And every fan was hoping that the former Sampdoria man would get his big break this weekend against Newcastle.

But the images of his wearing an ice pack on his legs during Uruguay’s game against Mexico led to multiple reports that the defensive midfielder had injured himself during the game and will not feature for Arsenal during the weekend.

Now the Gunners fan will be in for a treat after Unai Emery released a picture from the training grounds.

Emery tweeted a picture with the caption: “Focused on our improvement @Arsenal, focused on @NUFC.” and Lucas Torreira can be seen training with the first team squad.

Lucas Torreira was taken off at half-time during Uruguay’s game against Mexico but now the fact that the 22-year-old has returned back to training with the Gunners fans are expecting to see his name on the starting line-up against Newcastle United this weekend.
