The first international break of the season is officially over and Tottenham Hotspur will take on Liverpool in a high profile clash of the Premier League this weekend.

Spurs failed to bring in a single new player during the summer transfer window which was all the centre of debate amongst the Lilywhites fans but as the new season has begun, it looks like the London outfit are as strong as ever.

Liverpool are currently on top of the league table winning each and every game of the new campaign but Spurs possess the firepower which can easily hurt the Liverpool defence.

Spurs’ team news:

Pochettino has a number of injury concerns before Saturday’s match and the first one will be that of Hugo Lloris who is suffering from a thigh strain. While the World Cup winner has maintained he will make himself fit before the Liverpool clash but the Spurs medical team will take a final fitness test before Saturday and if Lloris fails to pass that then Michel Vorm will take his place in the first eleven.

Dele Alli is another player who remains doubtful for the clash with a muscle strain but the initial reports from the Spurs camp suggest the English International will be fit before Liverpool visit town.

Eric Dier will hopefully come into the starting eleven to replace Mousa Dembele at the heart of midfield while Sissoko is sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Eric Lamela suffers a similar injury to that of Sissoko but should be fit and available for the Liverpool match. Son Heung-Min has returned from international duty and will be available for selection but Mauricio Pochettino is not expected to start with the South Korean.

Spurs’ line-up vs Liverpool:

Goalkeeper: Lloris

Defence: Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen.

Midfield: Trippier, Eriksen, Dier, Ali, Davies
