Footballers are privileged celebrities who are living a lavish lifestyle but still these people cannot understand the logic of social distancing – especially some Arsenal and Spurs players.

Videos and photos of some players from Spurs and Arsenal are doing the rounds on social media where they can be seen flouting all the norms in order to play kick-about with their pals at parks.

Mikel Arteta was the first big name in the English Premier League who was tested positive following which the league was promptly shut down and the government has been urging the people to keep the pressure off the NHS.

But earlier this month, Tanguy Ndombele, Davinson Sanchez, Ryan Sessegnon along with their manager Jose Mourinho were all seen breaking the social distancing norms as their trained in a park and now a number of other North London players have joined this stupidity bandwagon.

The likes of Serge Aurier, Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and David Luiz were all found guilty of showing a big L to the rules following which both these clubs have become the talks of almost every media report in England.

And now former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has come out to slam all these Arsenal and Spurs players claiming they have successfully fed the media with stories that further demean the image of footballers in such a crisis scenario.

“It’s just stupid isn’t it,” he said on the talkSPORT Breakfast.

“Footballers are under so much scrutiny at the minute and everyone’s looking for a story because there is no content around, so anything they put up… I mean, why would you put on Instagram that you are training together and going to the park?

“It’s really immature from them, and people are still dying.

“These guys have got beautiful homes and they are on a lot of money; just train at home! You don’t need to see your mate in a park in a field.

“You’re not in an apartment! I guarantee these boys aren’t in an apartment with a balcony, they have big gardens and a nice bit of land.

“Just stay home and stay safe! That’s the whole point of this. Keep the pressure off the NHS!”

We completely agree with Jamie on this one that the big media houses are running out of stories to cover and right now they will jump onto any piece of news – more so if that is something negative.

So all these players who have been thinking of this time as an extended holiday should understand that the lockdown not only saves their family but also the people around them.
