Arsenal have qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League meaning their game against Qarabag on Thursday will be a mere training exercise.

Unai Emery is expected to make a number of big changes to his matchday squad as the big names are set to be rested and the academy youngsters will be given the chance to show their talent.

But one senior name that is expected to be amongst those youngsters is Mesut Ozil.

Ozil has been shunned by Emery during the past couple of weeks as the player does not fit the requirements for Emery.

And on top of that, the playmaker was recovering from a back spasm.

Now though Mesut Ozil has returned back to full fitness as he returned back to training on Wednesday.

Ozil was pictured training with the Arsenal squad early Wednesday morning and he should be fit for selection on Thursday.

The German has featured very little during the past couple of weeks and this low key game vs Qarabag will be a perfect way to get him back into match fitness.

If Mesut Ozil does play in midweek then be rest assured that he will be shunned during the weekend’s game vs Southampton.

UPDATE:

Apart from Mesut Ozil, midfielder Aaron Ramsey has also returned to full training and will be available for the Europa League fixture.

But we do not think Unai Emery will risk him in this game especially since the Welsh international has featured prominently during the Premier League encounters.

This game against Qarabag will be of very less important to Arsenal as their main focus will be the game vs the Saints during the weekend.

The only thing that the manager will be praying is for his senior players to come out fully fit from this clash vs Qarabag.
