Arsenal picked up a 2-0 win vs Southampton on Sunday and next up they have yet another home game vs Bournemouth in midweek.

Unai Emery has made it clear that squad rotation will be key for Arsenal during the next couple of weeks but that might be hard to do with a couple of players picking up injury vs Southampton.

The first player to leave the pitch on Sunday was Stephan Lichtsteiner who left the pitch during the 55th minute.

The manager later confirmed that the player had picked up a back pain but should be fit to face the Cherries on Wednesday.

“Lichtsteiner has back pain but I think he can also be okay for Wednesday,” reported Emery.

Alex Iwobi also picked up a knock against the Saints and limped off the pitch.

But the manager has claimed that the forward’s injury is not too serious and he should be fit to play vs Bournemouth.

Having said that though we expect the player to be rested and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is most likely to take up his place in the first XI.

Maitland-Niles missed the game on Sunday due to an illness but he should be back to face Bournemouth and we expect him to play at right-back instead of Lictsteiner.

These are only short term injuries for Arsenal while players like Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck are out for a long stretch of time and most of them are not likely to play any part this season.
