Arsenal travel to Merseyside this weekend to take on Liverpool in the Premier League.

And Unai Emery has some serious injury concerns before the high-profile encounter.

The Reds are still the only team who are yet to suffer a defeat this season in the league and with as many as nine injuries for Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp’s men could very well be in for yet another easy three points.

Arsenal team news vs Liverpool:

The biggest concern for Unai Emery will be in his defensive areas especially after Laurent Koscielny was taken off during the game vs Brighton in midweek.

The defender had just returned from a long-term injury and how reports are suggesting that he has picked up a knock which could rule him out of the game vs Liverpool.

Nacho Monreal is also doubtful for this game as the full-back is still recovering from a tight hamstring.

The injuries to Monreal and Koscielny means that Sokratis will play in central defender alongside Shkodran Mustafi who would have just returned from a hamstring injury.

And a less than 100 per cent defender against the likes of Salah and Mane is not a very delightful thing.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has picked up a Metatarsal Fracture which means the Armenian will be out of action for atleast six weeks.

The absence of Mkhitaryan means that Aaron Ramsey should return to the first XI and will play alongside Aubameyang and Lacazette in the final third.

Hector Bellerin is suffering from a calf strain and he will not recover in time for the Liverpool game. This means Lichtstneiner will play at right-back.

Rob Holding, Danny Welbeck and Mavropanos all remain long-term absentees and while Mavropanos will hopefully return next week, the other two have been ruled out for the rest of the season.
