Rangers FC is planning to bring in a few new players during the January transfer window but with that, a number of players might also head out.

The likes of Ovie Ejaria, Umar Sadiq and Ryan Kent have decided to cut their loan-spell short and will be heading back to their parent clubs next month.

But the biggest concern for the Gers fans right now is with the future of Alfredo Morelos.

Morelos has been key to Steven Gerrard’s attacking plans this season as the Colombian has already 20 goals in 33 games of the Teddy Bears.

And this form has rightly drawn a lot of attention for a number of European clubs and some of them are expected to place a bid for Alfred Morelos at the start of 2019.

Steven Gerrard too has confirmed that he and the club are expecting a bid for Alfredo Morelos next month.

“I’m expecting a bid for Morelos, he is a top player who has scored 20 goals. I would be more surprised if there are no bids but that is what happens when you are surrounded by good players,” said Gerrard.

Rangers are themselves planning to bring in a new striker now that Umar Sadiq is heading back to Italy but if Alfredo Morelos does really head out in January then the Gers will be in a heap of trouble.

While Rangers will try and hold onto Alfredo Morelos with all their might but if a big offer comes their way then the Ibrox outfit might find it really hard to hold onto Alfredo Morelos beyond the end of next season.
