Chelsea will take on Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend and the biggest question right now in everyone’s mind is whether Alvaro Morata feature in the matchday squad.

Morata has been tipped to move out of Stamford Bridge with Athletico Madrid being his next destination.

But the Blues are waiting to sign Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus before letting the Spaniard head back home.

Higuain’s move to Chelsea should be completed by the end of the weekend following which Alvaro Morata will be released by the Blues.

But will the forward get his farewell game for Chelsea when the Blues take on Arsenal at the Emirates?

Speaking to the press, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has hinted on whether Alvaro Morata will feature against the Gunners.

“I don’t know if he will play, but he is training with us, of course,” he told reporters.

“It’s normal, I think. It’s not of course, for him, I think it’s a very difficult moment.

“But it’s normal for a player in January to be involved in the market.

“So I think that he’s available.

“Then, like in the last match, I can choose something different.”

And Sarri was pressed about Higuain’s impending arrival.

“I don’t know. I want to be clear because I cannot help you,

“I spoke with Marina two weeks ago, so Marina knows my opinion on how to improve the team.

“Then I decided to focus on the pitch, on matches and training.”

If we read between the lines then Alvaro Morata should not be playing this game more so since Sarri seems to have lost faith in the forward.

Even when Alvaro Morata was fit to play, then also the Chelsea manager chose to field Eden Hazard as his lone front man. So there is no way that the Italian manager will use Morata when he is so close to moving out of the club.
