Arsenal are planning to bring in a couple of new players during the summer transfer window and it looks like Unai Emery is planning to make a move for Kieran Tierney.

Emery is going to get a transfer budget of around 45 million pounds during the summer if Arsenal fail to qualify for the Champions League next season.

And it looks like the London outfit are planning to use a large chunk of that money to make a bid for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney.

Tierney is a graduate of the Celtic Academy and this season the left-back has played a significant role for the Bhoys this season.

So far, Kieran Tierney has played 33 games for Celtic scoring one goal and providing six assists.

The 21-year-old is currently valued at €12.5 million but according to reports, Arsenal are ready to pay £25 million for the services of the left-back.

The Gunners currently have the likes of Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal as their left-back but bringing on Kieran Tierney will most certainly be a step up for Emery’s squad.

Currently, Celtic’s record sale is of Moussa Dembele to Lyon for a fee of £20 million but if Kieran Tierney does move to the Premier League then will be another landmark deal for the Bhoys.

The report suggests that Arsenal have been tracking the left-back for atleast two years and now the Gunners have finally decided that the time is right to make a move.

Kieran Tierney’s current deal expires in 2023 and with Brendan Rodgers leaving the scene there is a huge doubt as to whether the Glasgow outfit would be able to hold onto their young talent.
