Celtic FC had a terrible start to the weekend, losing their second league game of the new season 1-0 to Hearts. And now Brendan Rodgers’ side have been knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers.
The Hoops travelled to Athens with the tie perfectly balanced at 1-1 but the Glasgow were outclassed by AEK on the night as the Greek side won the two-legged tie 3-2.
And with that loss, Celtic FC’s hopes of playing in the top division of European football have been squandered.
AEK scored the first goal of the game in the 6th minute of the match and then went on to double their lead five minutes after half-time. Scott Sinclair came off the bench to pull one goal back for the Bhoys but unfortunately, the damage had already been done.

And with this exit, the Rangers FC fans found the perfect opportunity to mock their Old Firm rivals.
