Celtic FC are planning to bring in a couple of new players during the summer transfer window and one of them could be Silas Wamangituka.

Silas Wamangituka, 19, is currently playing for Ligue 2 side Paris FC and this season the Congo national has been in fine form.

During the 2018-19 season, the centre-forward has played in 27 games for Paris FC scoring nine goals and making one assist.

And as things stand a number of top European clubs have shown interest in signing him up during the summer transfer window.

The likes of Fiorentina and Hamburg are planning to launch bids for the youngster while some reports have claimed that Liverpool and Barcelona have also sent scouts to watch the forward in action.

But according to the Scottish Sun, Neil Lennon himself went to Paris to watch Wamangituka in action when Paris FC played against Valenciennes last week.

The match ended 0-0 but the 19-year-old put in a fine shift which surely would have impressed Lennon.

Currently, Celtic have two strikers(Burke and Weah) who are set to leave the club during the summer as their loan spells come to an end and reports are claiming that the Hoops boss wants to bring in Wamangituka as a permanent replacement to the departing players.

Some reports have also claimed that PSG might send back Timothy Weah to Celtic for yet another loan spell but the Paris outfit are waiting until the end of the season in order to make the final call.

If Celtic do manage to sign Wamangituka then surely the club will not be wanting to bring back Weah for another loan spell but in the PSG loanee, Neil Lennon does have the perfect backup.

In case the move for the Ligue 2 sensation fails, the Celtic manager has the perfect fall back option in the form of Timothy Weah.
