Chelsea held Man United to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford which means they still have a chance of finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season.

And many pundits believe that getting back into the Champions League is very important for the Blues if they wish to hold onto Eden Hazard beyond the summer.

Eden Hazard has been a subject of transfer interest from Real Madrid for a couple of months now and many reports have claimed that if Chelsea fail to move back to the top tier of European football then the Belgian will head to Spain.

While Chelsea have made it clear that they do not wish to part ways with Hazard but if the club cannot get back amongst the elite then it will be very difficult for them to convince the winger that he has a future at Stamford Bridge.

And speaking after the Man United game, Eden Hazard has revealed that he wants to play in the Champions League.

“Chelsea has to play in the Champions League every year,” he told Sky Sports(as reported).

“Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and me myself I want to play in the Champions League. We will.

“It was a good day but it could be better. We came here and thought about winning the game,

“A draw was not a bad result for us but I think if we believed a bit more we could score another goal.

“At the end, it’s a good result and now we have two games to remain in the top four.

“We started a bit slowly and we conceded the goal but we had a reaction, so that’s the good thing. In the second half, I don’t remember them having a chance at all.

“I don’t know why the belief is not there, playing away isn’t that same as home, we have big players, we can handle the pressure.

“We need the determination to score these goals that can be the difference between a draw and a win.

“The last 10 seasons we have been playing a lot of games, the Premier League isn’t easy, you need to fight hard.”

Eden Hazard has hinted that he wants to play in the UCL with Chelsea but this statement can also be interpreted as a warning sign for Chelsea.
