Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has officially joined AS Monaco this month.

The 31-year-old joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2014 and since then the midfielder has picked up a host of trophies for the Blues.

Cesc Fabregas played his last game for the Stamford Bridge outfit during Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.

The midfielder broke down in tears when he was leaving the pitch and according to Pat Nevin, the Spaniard was more emotional to leave Chelsea than the time left Arsenal.

Pat Nevin said: “Cesc also might have scored more goals for Arsenal and played more games for them than he has Chelsea, but he has been more successful here, which gives a clue to why he was so emotional after the Nottingham Forest game.

“His one Gunners’ FA Cup winners’ medal pales in comparison with his two Premier League titles alongside his FA Cup and League Cup winners’ medals with the Blues.

“The two European Championship medals alongside the World Cup winners’ medal for Spain are pretty impressive too.

“For all the baubles, it is the skill and the vision that has stood out above everything else. We could all marvel at his ability to pick up a ball deep in the midfield and play yet another inch-perfect quarterback-style pass on to a striker’s big toe, perfectly in his stride.

“What was more difficult to see for most fans is how hard that is to do at pitch level. He doesn’t have the overview that most fans have up in the stands; well he does have it but only in his mind.”

Cesc Fabregas’s first ever club in England was Arsenal when he made the move back in 2003 and it was in 2011 that the player finally moved back to Camp Nou.

During his eight-year stay at the Emirates, Cesc Fabregas won only one major title which was the FA Cup in the 2004-05 season.

But with Chelsea, the midfielder picked up two Premier League champions medal and one FA Cup title.
