Chelsea signed Tiemoue Bakayoko from AS Monaco in the summer of 2017 but the player has never been able to call Stamford Bridge his home.

After a dismal first season in the Premier League, the Blues chose to send him out on loan to AC Milan last summer and they had no plans of bringing him back.

But now with the transfer embargo looming large, it looks like the Premier League club are desperate to call him back at the end of the season.

The defensive midfielder has been a key performer for the Rossoneri this season having already played in 23 league games and reports suggest Milan want to sign him permanently during the summer.

A couple of months ago, Chelsea were more than happy with this arrangement and Sarri was ready to let Tiemoue Bakayoko stay in Italy.

But now things have changed.

Chelsea have a hearing regarding their transfer ban on the 11th of April and if things go south then the Blues will not be able to sign new players for the next two transfer windows.

In such a scenario, Sarri wants to have all the possible options at his disposal and hence the manager wants to call back Tiemoue Bakayoko.

AC Milan have an option to buy in their loan deal but keep in mind this is not an obligation clause which means the Blues have every right to call the midfielder back.

If the Premier League outfit do decide to call back Tiemoue Bakayoko then surely it will be a huge blow for AC Milan who then would have to go out hunting for a replacement at the end of the season.
