Chelsea will be fighting a bit battle to hold onto Callum Hudson Odoi during the summer transfer window.

The player has been struggling to find game time this season under Maurizio Sarri and ever since he made his bow with England under Gareth Southgate it looks like he has made up his mind that the Blues are not going to help him in any way.

Hudson Odoi had handed in a transfer request during the January transfer window with Bayern Munich interested in signing him but Chelsea turned it down along with an offer from the Bavarians.

And during the past couple of weeks, teams like Liverpool and even Man United have shown interest in signing the teenager – as per reports.

While Bayern Munich still remain the favourites but the Premier League duo are expected to come in all guns blazing during the summer transfer window.

With the player wanting to leave, Chelsea know keeping him at Stamford Bridge would be a big task but as per reports, the management have decided not to sell him off at any cost.

As per reports, the Stamford Bridge outfit are planning to offer the winger a new contract worth £80,000-per-week to convince him to stay.

And we believe this has to do with the current transfer embargo imposed on the club.

As things stand, Chelsea cannot buy any new players during the summer which means selling someone as important as Callum Hudson Odoi could be a catastrophe.

Maurizio Sarri has made it clear that the youngster is still not ready to play regularly in the first eleven but all that could change next season.

If the same bunch of players remain at Chelsea and so does Sarri then surely Hudson Odoi would get his call pretty early on in the season purely out of rotation.

And this is the thing that the winger had been waiting for.

So it would make absolute sense if Hudson Odoi chooses to snub all the interest during the summer and stay put at Chelsea for one more year.
